On the very first day God created the cow and said,"As a cow, you must work in the field with the farmers all day long to produce enough to feed all living creatures. So I will give you a life span of 50 years."

The cow objected. "My Lord, for such hard work I only need 20 years of life and give you back the other 30 years." God agreed.

On the second day God created the dog and said,"As a dog, your job is to sit by the door all day long to safeguard the house and to bark at strangers who come near the door. So I give you a life span of 20 years."

The dog objected. "For such monotonous life I need only 10 years and give you back the other 10 years." God also agreed.

On the third day God created the monkey and said," Monkeys must entertain people. As monkey, you will have to do monkey faces and monkey tricks to make people laugh and happy. So I will give you a life span of 20 years."

"No way," the monkey objected. "To make people laugh and happy I will need 10 years only." God agreed.

On the fourth day God created the man and said to him," Your job is to eat, sleep and play. All what you need to do is to enjoy llife. So I will give you a life span of 20 years."

"Just 20 years for such a good life?" the man objected. "To eat, sleep, play and do nothing I need a much longer life span. Why don't we make a deal? I will take the 30 years from the cow, 10 years from the dog and another 10 years from the monkey and make my life span of 70 years." God finally agreed.

THAT IS WHY in our first 20 years, we eat, sleep, play and enjoy life. For the next 30 years we work like a cow all day long to support our children of the family. The next 10 years we entertain our grandchildren by making monkey faces and monkey tricks. And for the last 10 years we sit by the door of the house and bark at people.
